Nerimas šių dienų kultūroje

Nemažą įtaką Freud’o ir Lacan’o idėjoms apie nerimą ir baimę turėjo Kierkegaard’o ir Heidegger’io filosofija. Tačiau psichoanalizė ir filosofija labai skirtingai traktuoja baimę ar nerimą keliantį objektą. Paskai1toje pirmiausia bus nagrinėjama, kaip nepublikuotas Lacan’o seminaras apie nerimą pakeitė vyravusį požiūrį, kuris teigė, kad baimė yra susijusi su tam tikru objektu, o nerimas tokio objekto tarsi ir neturi. Po to bus mėginama panagrinėti, kurie mistiški objektai kelia nerimą šių dienų visuomenėje. Kodėl mes tvirtiname, jog gyvename nerimo amžiuje? Kas mus baugino, prasidedant naujajam tūkstantmečiui? Koks nerimas kyla po rugsėjo 11 d. įvykių? 

Anxiety and Fear in Today's Culture

Freudian and Lacanian thinking about anxiety and fear has been deeply influenced by the philosophy of Kierkegaard and Heidegger. However, there is a significant difference in how psychoanalysis and philosophy perceive the object we are afraid of or anxious about. The lecture will first explore how Lacan in his unpublished seminar on anxiety changed the usual perception that fear is related to an object while anxiety seems to be objectless. And second, the lecture will analyze which uncanny objects we are anxiuos about in today's society. Why do we say that we live in a new age of anxiety? What were we frightened about at the begining of the new Millenium? And what kind of anxiety we are dealing with after the September 11th?

Renata Salecl – viena žymiausių Liublijano teorinės analizės mokyklos filosofų ir sociologų. Ji dėsto Liublijano universiteto (Slovėnija) Kriminologijos katedroje ir Mičigano universitete (JAV).

Renata Salecl is a philosopher, sociologist, one of the leading representatives of the Ljubljan School of theoretical analysis. She is a professor at the Institute of Kriminology of Ljubljana University in Slovenia and at the University of Michigan in United States.
