Soros Supplementary Grants

Program 2002- 2003

The Open Society Fund – Lithuania invites students to apply to the Soros Supplementary Grants Program 2002-2003. The program was created to assist citizens of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe , the former Soviet Union , and Mongolia who are pursuing advanced study within this region but outside of their home countries. The goal is to support cross-cultural, intraregional student mobility as part of the Open Society Institute’s overall efforts to strengthen the academic network within and among these countries.

                      The Soros Supplementary Grants Program 2002-2003 offers grants to:

I.       standard eligibility students of the social sciences, humanities, and fine and performing arts who have already arranged for part of the costs of their study to be covered

II.     special needs students:

·         Roma

·         refugees

·         people seeking political asylum

·         displaced (forced migrants)  

The deadline for receiving applications is: APRIL 15, 2002 .

 Atviros Lietuvos fondas kviečia studentus pateikti paraiškas Soros papildomo finansavimo programai 2002-2003 metams. Kandidatai turi būti priimti į universitetą vienoje iš Vidurio, Rytų  Europos ar NVS šalių arba Mongolijoje, bet ne savo gimtojoje šalyje.

 I. Studentai turi siekti mokslinio laipsnio socialinių ar humanitarinių mokslų, vaizduojamųjų ar atlikėjų menų srityse ir turėti dalį studijoms reikalingo finansavimo.

 II. Speciali stipendija skiriama čigonų tautybės studentams, taip pat studentams, turintiems pabėgėlio statusą, priverstiniams emigrantams ar siekiantiems politinio prieglobsčio.

 Paraiškų pateikimo terminas – 2002 m. balandžio 15 d.
